As he recovers from surgery performed last month, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, hosted APC Governors in his office at the Presidential Villa on a felicitation visit today.
Prof. Osinbajo expressed gratitude for the Governors’ visit and well wishes while extending a warm welcome.
The Vice President also praised the skills of Nigerian physicians and the country’s access to cutting-edge medical facilities. However, he lamented that physicians are limited by regulations from advertising, and as a consequence, many people are uninformed of the quality of local medical services.
During the short dialogue that followed the meeting, key national concerns, like the economy and the ASUU strike, were brought up.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the Governors decided to continue discussing these and other critical problems with the goal of achieving an immediate resolution for the benefit of the Nigerian people.
According to the Vice President “we all need to work together on these critical issues. We need to think through things, and we need to do it fast.”
At the meeting were the following governors: Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State, Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, Simon Lalong of Plateau State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara, Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Abdulrahman Sule of Nasarawa, and the deputy governor of Ebonyi State, Kelechi Igwe.
