Update on Glastonbury 2022: Dates, Tickets and TV broadcast

Glastonbury Festival 2022 is fast approaching, with fans excitedly anticipating their first visit to Worthy Farm since the pandemic began.

The Glasto’s return is going to be massive, with a slew of big stars slated to perform across the five days – even if transport strikes threaten to throw a monkey in the works.

But when is the event, and who is scheduled to perform?

And if you don’t have tickets, where can you see all the action?

When is Glastonbury 2022?

It is set to hold this June, the festival will return to Worthy Farm, with campers arriving on June 22 and departing on June 27, with the majority of the music taking place on June 24, 25, and 26.

The festival will be held for the first time since 2019, with events in 2020 and 2021 being canceled owing to the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak.

Is the tickets to Glastonbury still available?

Tickets for this year’s Festival are officially sold out, after the resale of cancelled and refunded tickets for Glastonbury 2022 in March 2022.

Due to the festival’s postponement, fans who purchased tickets for the cancelled event in 2020 were entitled to roll their passes over twice.

Michael and Emily Eavis, the event’s organizers, previously stated: ‘As with last year, we would like to offer all those who secured a ticket in October 2019 the opportunity to roll their £50 deposit over to next year, and guarantee the chance to buy a ticket for Glastonbury 2022.

‘We are very appreciative of the faith and trust placed in us by those of you with deposits, and we are very confident we can deliver something really special for us all in 2022.’

When can you watch Glastonbury 2022 on TV?

Glastonbury will be broadcast live across BBC TV, radio, and the iPlayer for the duration of the festival.

As in past years, all of the Pyramid Stage headliners will be broadcast on television, with Olivia Rodrigo and Paul McCartney’s Saturday night concerts being broadcast on BBC One for the first time; marking the first time a primary headliner’s act has been broadcast on the channel.

Diana Ross’ appearance on the Legends stage, which is scheduled for Sunday afternoon of the festival, will also be broadcast on BBC One.

Billie Eilish and Kendrick Lamar will lead the night, which will also feature Elbow, Jessie Ware, Lorde, Years and Years, and Noel Gallagher’s High-Flying Birds.

Charli XCX, Glass Animals, YUNGBLUD, and Little Simz’s shows will be broadcast on BBC Three, while Kacey Musgraves and Arlo Parks’ sets will be broadcast on BBC Four.
