University of Benin (UNIBEN) Resumption Date

The dates for the commencement of academic activity for the 2020/21 academic session at the University of Benin (UNIBEN) have been released.

Date of UNIBEN’s Resumption

The University of Benin Senate amended the academic schedule for the 2020/21 school year and authorized Sunday, October 23, 2022 as the date for students to return to their residence halls.

The second semester has been cut by eight months as a result of the Academic Staff Union of Universities’ (ASUU) recent strike suspension. Classes are scheduled to resume on October 24.

The semester will conclude on December 23.

In the meantime, online registration for new students admitted for the academic year 2021/2022 begins on December 2.

Professor Lilian Salami, who presided over the Senate meeting, requested the assistance and cooperation of faculty and students to ensure the success of academic endeavors.
