Police have revealed horrifying film of a patron of a restaurant chasing another customer outside and then severely hitting him in a wordless attack, fracturing his skull.
The New York City Police Department has opened an investigation and published a video of the attack that occurred in the Bronx on Friday, August 12.
The man was transported to the hospital after being discovered unconscious and lifeless on the ground with a head injury.
CCTV horrifyingly catches the moment the police suspect donned gloves and swung with enormous power, striking the victim in the back of the head.
He then falls to the ground, apparently unconscious, and hits his head on the concrete.
The unnamed male, who was wearing a black T-shirt, departed the restaurant shortly after the victim, who was conversing with a group of people.
Then, while wearing dark pants, he positioned himself behind the victim, attacked him, and then returned to the restaurant.
Police are requesting that anyone with information about the man’s identification come forward.
EMS rushed the man to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi for treatment of his skull fracture, cheekbone fracture, and bleeding on the brain.
His health is currently critical but stable, and inquiries into the savage assault are underway.
A NYPD official stated, ‘It was reported that on Friday, August 12, 2022, at around 22:45 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a gentleman being assaulted in front of the Fuego Tipico restaurant located at 163 Eat 188 Street.
Officers discovered a 52-year-old man victim unconscious and unresponsive on the ground with head damage upon their arrival.
Upon additional inquiry, the victim exited the restaurant, watched numerous people conversing, and then an unidentified man donned gloves and positioned himself behind the victim.
‘Without any prior dialogue or dispute, the individual punched the victim in the face before returning to the restaurant and then leaving for an unknown location.
The sufferer sustained a fractured skull, a broken cheekbone, and brain hemorrhage.
The investigation is underway.
“The unnamed person is characterized as a middle-aged man with a medium complexion, medium frame, and partial baldness.”
Last observed wearing black jeans, a black T-shirt, and black gloves.
