Ukraine acquires more ammunitions for war

Aleksei Reznikov, the Ukrainian defense minister, posted on Twitter that Ukraine had acquired HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) from Washington.

“It will be a hot summer for the Russian occupiers, and it will be the last summer for some of them,” Reznikov wrote. He also expressed gratitude to Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin for his cooperation.

According to earlier reports, the Pentagon was looking at the possibility of sending four more MLRS to Ukraine.

The matter is still up for debate.

Additional MLRS may be provided to Ukraine in the upcoming aid package, according to an anonymous official.

Four mobile HIMARS systems and precision-guided weapons have already been sent by the US to Ukraine.

The devices have the ability to hit targets up to 80 kilometers away.

A report on the military support given to Ukraine was released by the US Department of Defense.

About $6.3 billion has been given to Kiev by Washington since US President Joe Biden assumed office, with the remaining $5.6 billion coming after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the launch of a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
