A video of a glowing orb passing by the International Space Station has caused excitement among UFO enthusiasts. Conspiracy theorist Scott C Waring posted the footage on his YouTube channel, UFO Sightings Daily, and described the object as a “mini Sun” due to its powerful yellow glow.
Waring rejected the possibility that the object could be the Space Dragon capsule, a satellite or an airplane. The object disappeared from view after travelling past the space station.
Waring compared the appearance of the orb to that of a glowing ball of light spotted hovering over the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem in 2011.
Some UFO enthusiasts were convinced that the object was an alien craft because of its own powerful light and the fact that it appeared to be following its own trajectory.
However, ex-Ministry of Defence worker Nick Pope has previously suggested that the 2011 sighting could have been a “very well-planned and coordinated hoax”.
He added that the way the object shot up into the sky suggested it was unmanned, as no living thing could survive the g-forces involved.
While it is not yet clear what the object was that was spotted passing by the International Space Station, its appearance has certainly caused a stir among believers in extraterrestrial life.
