Trump’s commercial says America ‘in decay’

Donald Trump broadcast an ominous apocalyptic commercial on his social media platform late Monday night, declaring America “a country in decline,” but simultaneously predicting a political future in which he claims “the best is yet to come.”

The ad was released on Truth Social, the former president’s own alternative social media site, just hours after the FBI searched his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, apparently as part of an inquiry into whether he carried sensitive materials with him when he left the White House.

The video commercial, which begins with a jolting clap of thunder over black and white photographs of America, is narrated by Trump’s voice. ‘We are a declining country,’ Trump said. ‘We are a failing country,’ he says, citing rising inflation, high energy expenses, and the departure of troops from Afghanistan.

The creepy commercial was released late Monday night, after Lara Trump’s appearance on Fox News’ ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight,’ in which she lambasted the FBI raid and claimed it was about weaponizing the justice system, adding that people are frightened that her father-in-law may run for president in 2024.

The raid on Monday night comes as Trump considers another presidential run, and his actions during the 2020 election, in which he attempted to invalidate Joe Biden’s victory, are being investigated by legislators on Capitol Hill.

‘We are a country that has become a joke in many respects,’ Trump claimed in the commercial. ‘But grandeur will return to us shortly.’

On Monday, Donald Trump claimed that his Florida mansion was ‘under siege, searched, and seized by a big number of FBI agents,’ purportedly as part of an inquiry into whether he took secret information with him when he left the White House.

Lara Trump said Fox News, ‘see, as anybody who’s been around him a lot knows, my father-in-law likes to keep stuff like newspaper clippings, magazine clippings, pictures, papers that he had every permission… to remove from the White House.’

It started on Monday morning and lasted many hours. A government raid on the house of a former commander in chief is quite rare.

‘These are grave times for our country, as my magnificent property in Palm Beach, Florida, Mar-A-Lago, is presently under siege, raided, and seized by a huge number of FBI agents. Nothing like this has ever occurred to a US President before,’ Trump stated in a stunning statement delivered Monday night. This sudden raid on my residence was not necessary nor acceptable after working and collaborating with the proper government officials.’

According to The New York Times, ‘it is prosecutorial malpractice, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an assault by Radical Left Democrats who urgently don’t want me to run for President in 2024.’Trump is also being investigated for his efforts to alter the 2020 voting results in the state of Georgia, while his business practices are being probed in New York in separate cases

‘Such an attack could only happen in impoverished Third-World countries. ‘Unfortunately, America is become one of those countries,’ Trump claimed, adding, ‘They even broke into my safe!’

According to many US media sites citing individuals close to the inquiry, agents were conducting a court-authorized search relating to the possible mishandling of sensitive information transferred to Mar-a-Lago.

The National Archives said in February that it had retrieved 15 boxes of papers from Trump’s Florida resort, including highly sensitive materials, which he had taken with him when he departed Washington after his re-election loss.

‘This is about weaponizing the legal system, as it has been so many times before against people you don’t like politically,’ Lara Trump said Monday night.

‘They despise Donald Trump, not just on the Democratic side, but across the board, because he isn’t one of them, because he doesn’t play their game.’ They are scared. He’ll declare his candidacy for president in 2024 any day now. And this is a very handy method to simply throw some more dirt at Donald Trump, as if they haven’t done enough already.’

‘Think about it.’ If they can do this to a former president of the United States, imagine what they can do to you or anybody else in America. The basic line is that these materials in issue have been, and everyone has been cooperating.’

‘Everyone on my father-in-team law’s has been collaborating with the FBI with every authority that asks for anything up until now, and there was no need to make such a huge deal, to do anything this ridiculous, to be honest, to a former president.’ But I believe everyone understands what’s going on here, Will. This is about weaponizing the legal system, as it has done so many times in the past against people you don’t like politically.’

Trump has not yet formally confirmed his candidacy for the presidential race in 2024, but he has made strong suggestions in recent months.

Trump was seen leaving Trump Tower in New York on Monday night, just before releasing his new ad on the Truth Social platform. The National Archives said in February 2022 it had recovered 15 boxes of documents from Donald Trump's Florida estate

As he walked inside his SUV, accompanied by Secret Service personnel, he waved and gave his customary thumbs up to the assembled crowd.

Truth Social went live on February 21, 2022, with a host of faults and difficulties, including a significant waiting list to be accepted for an account on the network.

When Trump was banned from Twitter indefinitely in the days following the January 6, 2021 Capitol assault, he pledged to establish a ‘free speech’ social media network that would not punish its users. It occurred after numerous conservative voices were suspended, blocked, or banned from social media networks such as Twitter and Facebook.
