The name of our new daily Kaizer Chiefs segment is Transfer Signing of the Day. Since the year 2000, we examine each successful Amakhosi transfer.

Mamelodi Sundowns later grabbed up another one of these prospects with today’s featured move. Recently, Gavin Hunt praised him as a player who gave you a 7/10 every week.

Let’s give it up for David Kennemeyer. The left-back, born in Mitchels-Plain and known as “Day by Day,” joined Amakhosi in 2001 at the age of 23 from the Norwegian club Ligaen.

Kennemyer’s international career included appearances for U20 and U23, as well as 26 for Bafana Bafana.
