Tomorrow is the deadline for Kaizer Chiefs’ winter transfers

Kaizer Chiefs have till midnight tomorrow to complete their winter transfer business.

They have so far recruited rather wisely, with many young PSL-ready players joining Amakhosi. Caleb-Bonfils Bimenyimana, a Burundian striker, won over Chiefs supporters last time out with a brace against SuperSport.

Arrivals for Kaizer Chiefs are confirmed

  • George Matlou (Swallows)
  • Kamohelo Mahlatsi (Swallows)
  • Dillan Solomons (Swallows)
  • Yusuf Maart (Sekhukhune)
  • Ashley du Preez (Stellenbosch)
  • Zitha Kwinika (Stellenbosch)
  • Siyethemba Sithebe (AmaZulu)
  • Edmilson Dove (free)
  • Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana (free)

Potential exits

Eric Mathoho, a 32-year-old defensive veteran, had a short appearance against SuperSport over the weekend, but his chances have been, to put it mildly, restricted. He and a witch have been connected to Swallows. Thabani Dube, a former central defender for Richards Bay FC, has yet to appear this year and has been linked to a loan transfer to his old team. Dube’s chances are significantly worse if Mathoho can’t get in the side.

Keletso Sifama, a teenager, hasn’t made the bench this season after being loaned out to Maritzburg last year.

Are the Chiefs still considering Kermit Erasmus?

As the deadline approaches, Kermit Romeo Erasmus hasn’t ruled out going back to Soweto, so keep an eye on that. The Orlando Pirates are still keeping an eye on the Sundowns striker who was formerly on their roster.

The transfer deadline is rapidly approaching, and we’ll be keenly monitoring events.
