Tom Sandoval, a star on the reality TV show “Vanderpump Rules,” has publicly apologised to his girlfriend, Ariana Madix, following news of his “months-long” affair with Raquel Leviss.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday night, Sandoval said he wanted to “first and foremost apologize to everyone I’ve hurt through this process” before directing his apology to Madix.
He acknowledged that he had made mistakes, was selfish and had made reckless decisions that hurt someone he loved.
Sandoval regretted dishonouring Madix and said he never meant to disappoint so many people, including their families and friends.
Sandoval insisted that his love for Madix was stronger than any camera could ever capture and that some of their best times together were never filmed.
He wished things had happened differently and their relationship had not been severely tarnished.
He acknowledged that he owed Madix better. The post marks the first time Sandoval publicly apologises to Madix over the fallout of his affair scandal.
Sandoval also shared that he was beyond sad about how his nearly decade-long relationship with Madix ended.
He expressed regret for hurting so many people and acting in a way that clashes with who he wants to be. He promised to reflect and work on himself, acknowledging that he always has work to do.
Over the weekend, Sandoval shared a public apology on Instagram but avoided any mention of Madix. In that post, he had asked that his friends and family not be involved in the situation, clarifying that his friend Tom Schwartz had only recently found out about the affair and did not condone it.
Sandoval had also addressed anger towards his and Schwartz’s new LA bar, Schwartz & Sandy’s, urging people to direct their anger towards him and not towards the other partners and employees who rely on the restaurant for income.
Leviss, for her part, had filed for a temporary restraining order against co-star Scheana Shay following reports of a “heated confrontation.” Madix has yet to speak out publicly.
