He demonstrated how he rendered the task feasible.

In a behind-the-scenes feature for his new film, “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One,” Tom Cruise revealed his “most perilous stunt” ever in a clip uploaded on Twitter on Wednesday.

A few days after posting a video of himself leaping out of an airplane, the “Top Gun” star uploaded a 9-and-a-half-minute footage of him riding a motorcycle down a cliff.

The 60-year-old actor stated, “This is by far the most hazardous endeavor we’ve ever done.” “We will film it in Norway, and it will have a motorcycle jump down a cliff followed by a base jump.”

According to Cruise, he has been interested in the dangerous industry since he was a child.

Christopher McQuarrie, the film’s writer and director, stated that Tom Cruise, who insists on performing all of his own stunts, was responsible for putting together everything from the plan to the stunt squad.

Stunt coordinator Wade Eastwood disclosed that Tom Cruise underwent “a year of base training, advanced skydiving instruction, a great deal of canopy skills, and a great deal of tracking.”

Coach of base jumping Miles Daisher said to Tom Cruise as a “great individual.”

The “Top Gun” actor uploaded a 9.5-minute video of himself riding a motorcycle down a precipice.

“When you tell him something, he just memorizes it,” Daisher continued. His spatial awareness makes him the most perceptive individual I’ve ever met.

Cruise quipped, “I have to get so excellent at this that I can’t possibly miss the mark.”

According to the star of “Jerry Maguire,” he performed 30 jumps every day to perfect every part of the feat. According to the video, he has performed over 13,000 times in total.

Christopher McQuarrie, the film’s writer and director, stated that Cruise was responsible for assembling everything from the plan to the stunt squad.

“Creating the feat is simply one of the technical obstacles,” McQuarrie explained. “The other is installing a camera so you can watch where Tom is working.”

“Choosing the appropriate lens, platform, and medium. Even two years ago, cameras that would allow us to perform what we are attempting to do today did not exist,” McQuarrie noted.

Consistency and achieving the proper speed, according to Cruise, are the keys to making a successful shot.

McQuarrie remarked, “We must be able to reliably forecast where Tom will be in three-dimensional space.”

The footage indicates that Cruise completed the stunt six times per day.

McQuarrie stated, “This is by far the most perilous trick we have ever tried.” “The only thing that terrifies me more is our plans for ‘Mission 8’.”

Recently, Cruise wished his supporters a Merry Christmas and thanked them for their support before jumping out of a helicopter.

The release date for “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” is July 13, 2023.
