The Buccaneers are this year’s NFC South winners, and after overcoming a series of personal difficulties, Tom Brady is one step closer to reaching the summit – again.
Jim Gray asked Tom Brady on Monday’s episode of his SiriusXM podcast, “Let’s Go!,” if Sunday’s division-clinching victory over the Panthers felt like “a big weight off your shoulder” after a season filled with obstacles and change, including the quarterback’s divorce from wife Gisele Bündchen after 13 years of marriage.
“I believe that is a valid point. And I believe, you know, we’re all going through something, we’re all humans and we’re all going through stuff, but we’re all professionals and we want to do our best at work. “And this is what it takes to be a professional,” Brady explained.

It has been a difficult season for Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, who in October 2022 announced his divorce from Gisele Bündchen.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion, who returned to the Buccaneers in March after a 40-day retirement, adding that pros “come up every day with the best attitude possible” and that “you try to compartmentalize everything and really focus on your job.”
“I believe our team, you know, there’s a lot of outside noise, and I’m aware that some people say, ‘Tom, you should have retired. You ought to have done this, then you ought to have done that. You are aware, and that’s fine. People can have numerous emotions, viewpoints, etc. “However, I believe there is always satisfaction when you make this commitment, have a group of others who do the same, and see things pay off,” said Brady, 45.
“This is what life is all about. A great deal of resiliency, overcoming numerous challenges throughout the course of the year, and ultimately achieving a common objective. Therefore, I enjoy team sports. I always ask, “Do you care about your team and its members?” And are you concerned with the mission? To me, this is what makes a great teammate.”
Brady stated on social media at the time, “We came to this decision amicably and with appreciation for the time we spent together.” Our beautiful and magnificent children will remain the center of our universe in every way.
Brady and Bündchen are the parents of 13-year-old son Benjamin and 10-year-old daughter Vivian. Brady co-parents his 15-year-old son Jack with his ex-girlfriend, Bridget Moynahan.
