A light aircraft crashed in Lowood and Fernvale, north of Ipswich.
The aircraft was reported missing on Monday after it failed to return following a flight. It was traced departing Roma in west Queensland before disappearing in the Somerset region.

It is believed that three Australians perished in a horrific plane crash that occurred in Queensland outback.

Just outside of Lowood in Fernvale, northwest of Ipswich in the state’s southeast, emergency services have arrived.

Police have verified that the aircraft was reported missing after failing to return following a flight on Monday.

Police have not disclosed any information regarding the aircraft, its flight plan, or its intended destination despite the fact that a search has been initiated due to the plane’s overdue arrival.

The plane encountered severe weather prior to takeoff, according to 9NEWS.

On Monday morning, it was traced departing Roma in western Queensland before vanishing in the Somerset region.

Police have verified that officers are at the Fernvale-Lowood location, but the families of the plane’s occupants have not yet been told.

A spokeswoman stated, “Investigations into the cause of the collision have began.”

It was alleged that the accident site is so remote that police and paramedics had trouble reaching the plane’s passengers.

A police official told Daily Mail Australia that there was “no confirmation at this time” as to whether or not the plane’s occupants perished in the crash.
