The Royal Couple, William and Kate set to relocate to Berkshire

According to rumours, William and Kate are planning to relocate from the rush and bustle of London to leafy Berkshire.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are reportedly planning to relocate to a home on the Queen’s Windsor estate this summer, leaving Kensington Palace as their primary abode.

The pair plans to withdraw their son Prince George, 8, and daughter Princess Charlotte, 7, from their present prep school in Battersea at the end of the school year, according to The Sunday Times.

In September, George and Charlotte will join their younger brother, Prince Louis, 4, at a new school in Berkshire, according to the newspaper.

It comes as William approaches his 40th birthday this week. The monarch is said to have laughed behind his back that it’s so daunting.’
William and Kate will be relocating from Kensington Palace, where they have resided since 2017.

The couple relocated from Anmer Hall, a country house in Norfolk where they had previously spent a lot of time.

Despite moving to Berkshire, The Sunday Times reports that the couple will keep their Kensington Palace home as their London residence. Their public relations team will stay in West London.

The couple will also keep Anmer Hall, which they will reportedly use ‘on a regular basis,’ according to the newspaper.

According to the newspaper, one of their friends plans to move there permanently once their children have completed ‘the school years.’

The friend is said to have said, ‘They absolutely love it up there, it’s their happy place.’
The Cambridges will be closer to the Middletons, the Duchess’s parents, who live 45 minutes away in the village of Bucklebury, thanks to their move to Windsor.

The couple has long been rumored to be planning a move to Windsor Castle. Following the death of her beloved Prince Phillip, the Queen has spent a lot of time at the Berkshire castle.

When he becomes king, however, it is understood that Prince Charles will spend less time there.

The Prince of Wales has previously stated that he intends to spend much of his time at Buckingham Palace during his reign.

Last weekend, Prince William and Kate took center stage at the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, appearing on the royal balcony twice and at the Party at the Palace on Saturday night.

While visiting concert rehearsals at Cardiff Castle, they were joined by Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who brought the Platinum Jubilee celebrations to Wales.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with their children George, eight, and Charlotte, seven, visited the castl to meet performers and crew for a special Platinum Jubilee Celebration Concert.

As they arrived in the Welsh capital, William and Kate appeared to encourage their shy-looking children to shake hands and introduce themselves to dignitaries, though Charlotte was soon beaming.

It was the young royals’ first official visit to Wales, as well as one of the first times they had met and interacted with the general public.

Prince Louis, who stole the show after the Trooping the Colour ceremony when he appeared on Buckingham Palace’s balcony with his family and the Queen, was absent.
