The Office of Establishments and Training commences intensive training for Public Servants

As part of the current rapid structured training programme of the State Government, the Office of Establishments and Training has started intense training for officers in professional and administrative cadres in the State Public Service.

The training started on Monday, July 25, 2022, in several locations in Lagos State, according to a press statement signed by Mr. Dele Balogun, Director of Public Affairs for the Ministry of Establishments, Training, and Pensions. It will last until the end of August 2022.

He stated that the programme will kick off with a session at the Chemline House Training Centre in Ikeja with the theme “Value Re-orientation for Effective Service Delivery” that would last for one week and have three streams of participants from various cadres.

According to him, subsequent weeks will witness a series of training programmes with various themes such as: “Health Administration” for Senior Health Professionals; “Cost Engineering: Effective Estimation and Cost Control of Technical Projects” for Engineers; “Risk Management” and “Excellent Customer Service Delivery” with participants drawn from all cadres.

The director also said that there would be 50 people at each session and that some of the sessions would last for two days to accommodate multiple participant streams.

“The series of training programmes organised at the beginning of the year by the Office of Establishments and Training for Public Servants cut across cadres. Prominent amongst which are training for Planning, Public Affairs, Legal and Admin/Human Resource Officers”, Balogun noted.
