Benjamin Paa Kwesi Henrichs, a professional footballer for RB Leipzig in Germany, has explained why Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Burna Boy is his favorite Nigerian musician.
In a video posted by sports writer Oma Akatugba, Henrichs can be heard gushing about Burna Boy, a Grammy winner, saying that he prefers his music to that of his peers.
When asked to choose his favorite singer from Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy, the footballer opted for the ‘Last Last’ crooner.
When asked about his favorite musician, the RB Leipzig fullback said, “Burna boy, because he’s making good music.”
In order to demonstrate the extraordinary impact that Burna’s music has had on him, the German DFL Pokal winner ran through a list of some of Burna’s most popular songs and even vibed to some of them.

“I really like ‘fall’ by Davido,” he continued.
Meanwhile, Patrick Doyle, a veteran of the Nollywood film industry, has recently spoken ill of Burna Boy, a singer from Nigeria who has won a Grammy.
Naija News adds that this comes after the musician, who calls himself the “African Giant,” recently said that many Nigerians underestimate his talent.
It is impossible to overstate the significance of the ‘Last Last’ singer’s impact on the Nigerian music scene, as he has repeatedly set new benchmarks in his homeland and beyond.
But in a Facebook post, Patrick Doyle claimed that Burna Boy and his peers were wrong for failing to give credit where credit was due: to the great musicians who came before them.
The actor claimed that Burna and other Nigerian musicians owe their success to the work of their predecessors, thus the actor concluded that Burna has not accomplished anything particularly noteworthy on his own.
Doyle remarked that contemporary Nigerian musicians owe it to pioneers like SunnyAde, Fela Anikulapo, Majek Fashek, Ik—Dairo, and countless others, who worked tirelessly from the 1960s through the 2000s.
