Teachers suing the Albany school system over Patrick Morgan’s concealed toilet camera

At least 17 instructors filed complaints against an Albany school system after a perverted teacher who put a concealed camera videotaped them in a coed restroom.

According to a slew of lawsuits filed this week in Albany, the teachers allege that the district knew teacher Patrick Morgan had a history of inappropriate behavior and an outstanding disciplinary record before he was arrested in February for installing the camera in the Sand Creek Middle School bathroom.

Patrick Morgan, a teacher at Sand Creek Middle School, pled guilty to two charges of unauthorized surveillance.
After being caught for installing a concealed camera in a school restroom, WNYT Morgan was initially charged with 22 charges.

Morgan pled guilty to two charges of unauthorized monitoring at the beginning of November, prompting the filing of the cases. After he was detained for placing a hidden camera disguised as a phone charger in the school restroom, he was first charged with 22 counts.

As an employee at Sand Creek Middle School, Patrick Morgan enjoyed a high degree of peer trust, according to a statement released by the Albany assistant district attorney announcing the guilty pleas. His acts, which breached the privacy of 28 individuals, constitute an outrageous breach of trust.

On January 25, Morgan will be sentenced and faces up to six years in state prison. In addition, he will be obliged to register as a sexual offender. On November 15, he resigned from the institution.

The educators demand secret damages.
