After three men, one of whom was armed with a firearm, robbed the occupants of an Albany Creek home, police from Brisbane West are conducting an investigation.
Three men entered the Allawah Street residence just after 10:00 p.m., intimidated the residents, and stole cash before fleeing.
After a teenage boy from the home ran after them in the front yard, one of the men fired a gun into the air.
Nobody was injured.
Despite the presence of many police units, including the K-9 unit and Polair, it is thought that the men entered a nearby parked car and fled the area.
Anyone with information that might aid the investigation is encouraged to contact the police.
All three were identified as being Caucasian and masked.
One of the men was dressed in black attire.
A second man is described as being overweight, tall, dressed in a white jumper and dark jeans, and carrying a firearm.
The third man is described as slim, tall, and dressed in a black jumper, cargo/work pants, and black boots.
The police think there is no ongoing danger to the community, and further investigations are being conducted.
