On Sunday, Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins announced that there is no definitive timetable for Ja Morant’s return to the court following his suspension. Morant posted an Instagram Live video of himself brandishing a gun at a club, resulting in suspension.

Although the Grizzlies originally stated that Morant would be away from the team for at least two games, Jenkins hinted that his absence could be longer.

Morant has been involved in previous off-court controversies, including allegedly assaulting a teenager and flashing a gun at him after a pick-up game last summer, resulting in a lawsuit.

Despite no arrests for both altercations, these incidents have contributed to the suspension.

After his suspension, Morant released a statement to take full responsibility for his actions and acknowledge that he needs help to learn better methods of dealing with stress and improving his overall well-being. Nike, who partners with Morant, supported him and his accountability in a statement.

Jenkins expressed the Grizzlies’ love and support for Morant’s healing process, understanding that he needs help to make better decisions for himself and his team.
