Tasmanian senator, who announced her dad’s death on June 18, posted a Facebook message to her fans saying she will miss him ‘every day’

After her father Tom passed away earlier this month, Jacqui Lambie thanked her fans for their thoughtful comments.

The Tasmanian senator wrote in a Facebook message to her followers that she will mourn her father “every day” after learning of his passing on June 18.

“I want to thank you for the love and support you have shown me over the past week. The 51-year-old wrote on Monday, “It means so lot.

It’s difficult to picture life without Dad. Everyday I shall miss him.

Senator Lambie withheld the cause of her father’s 72-year-old demise. After her parents’ divorced when she was 13 years old, she stayed close to him.

Sen. Lambie recounted their split in a 2014 interview with Women’s Weekly. It didn’t really disturb me, she said.

We were informed the previous evening, and Dad moved out the following day.

In essence, what happened was that a lady had pictures of me and my brother (Bobby) on her mantelpiece, and Dad would take us over to her house.

Why does this woman have pictures of us on the mantelpiece, I asked my mother.

And my mother asked, “Where does this woman live?” Dad essentially departed from there, and now he’s going through his third divorce and lives in a travel trailer, so he hasn’t exactly had the best of luck.

After her parents sold the family home, Senator Lambie moved into housing commission with her mother and younger brother.

Mom used to say that where you live is irrelevant; what matters is what’s inside, she recalled.
Senator Lambie, a single parent of two, gave birth to her first kid when she was 18 years old.

Between 1989 and 2000, she spent 10 years in the military working in the transport management and military policing divisions.

She sustained a significant back injury in 1997 while participating in a field activity, permanently damaging her spine.

Three years later, she was ultimately medically released from the army.

Despite beginning her political career in 2008, Senator Lambie didn’t create her own party, the Jacqui Lambie Network, until 2015.

Tammy Tyrrell, a second JLN candidate, won a seat in the Senate this year.

On the morning show, Senator Lambie has been referred to as a larrikin who frequently has Today Show host Karl Stefanovic in stitches.
