Tash Peterson’s boyfriend Jack Higgs speaks about how he handles her shenanigans

The notorious vegan activist Tash Peterson’s boyfriend asserts that their relationship has only grown stronger as a result of her indecently exposed public demonstrations.

Three years have passed as Jack Higgs has supported and documented Ms. Peterson’s attention-grabbing demonstrations against the meat business.

He stood by her side when she appeared before the Perth Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday to answer charges stemming from an alleged outburst at an Outback Jacks restaurant in Perth in June.

Ms. Peterson is well-known for her iconic topless and bloodied public demonstrations in Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney steakhouses, supermarkets, and cattle exhibitions.

She was almost nude, covered in blood, and wrapped in plastic like a slab of meat earlier this month when she was found lying down in a meat tray the size of a human being on Sydney’s popular Pitt Street Mall.

Mr. Higgs, a fitness coach who assists his partner in being painted for demonstrations, said he had no issue with her bearing her body and commended her for her bloody antics.

Mr. Higgs told Daily Mail Australia, “I truly appreciate Tash for having the courage to utilize her physical freedom to stand out for non-human animals that are subjected to slavery, torture, and death in the food, clothing, and entertainment industries.

Through her inventive disruptions and protests, Tash does a fantastic job of making their concerns heard by the general public.

Tash is entitled to use her body whatever she wants.

Their advocacy had strengthened their relationship, according to Mr. Higgs, who is also a vegan.

Particularly in light of the many legal obstacles and negative public perception, he said.

“We realize how vital it is to watch out for and care for one other, so we can continue to stand out for animals,” the pair says. “We become stronger every day as a relationship.”

However, Mr. Higgs said that he comprehends why some men would worry about their women baring their bodies in public.

‘I can believe that for some lovers, seeing Tash partly nude or even entirely naked with lingerie in public, would be problematic,’ he remarked in June.

But I really thought that was very good for our relationship.

It could have seemed a little strange at first. Although we had some reservations, we later realized there was nothing wrong with it.

Mr. Higgs reported that Ms. Peterson’s court hearing on Wednesday about the charges stemming from a protest in June went well.

He said that “the magistrate appeared to be more tolerant and open to the strong arguments put out by Tash’s lawyer.”

She appeared in court to answer for criminal charges stemming from a June altercation at the steakhouse Outback Jacks.

She allegedly shouted at the diners while playing disturbing noises of animals in suffering over a loudspeaker, according to WA Police.

According to Ms. Peterson, the audio was recorded at animal slaughterhouses.

If you’re not a vegan, there is blood on your hands, she reportedly said to diners while they ate.

Two counts of failure to vacate a licensed establishment and one count of disruptive conduct in public were brought against the activist.

The lawsuit was postponed until the next month.

Police and legislators in WA have referred to Ms. Peterson’s activities as “Australia’s largest pest” and she has accrued a number of penalties as a result.

She was fined $3,500 by a Perth court last year for marching topless through a Louis Vuitton shop while covered in her own menstrual blood.

The activist also attacked an AFLW game’s pitch dressed as a cow and protested there, wore a blood-stained apron while yelling at customers in a KFC, and demonstrated in supermarkets’ meat departments.

She also went on trial for a demonstration in December 2020 at the Boatshed Markets in Cottesloe, when she shouted at consumers that cows were being raped for meat and dairy, appeared shirtless, and had her breast painted with a cow design.
