Sydney police arrest 3 after discovering 750 kg of ICE

Three guys have been taken into custody by the police after they raided shipping containers and discovered about 750kg of methylamphetamine with a street value of $675 million.

The three guys are allegedly members of a criminal organisation that brought the narcotic into Sydney.

Following a tip, Australian Border Force agents seized 748kg of methylamphetamine that had been trafficked into marine freight containers at Port Botany last month.

On Wednesday, the males were taken into custody by detectives from the NSW Drug and Firearms Squad for the stockpile.

To appear in court later on Thursday, they were all denied bail.

The men are accused of being part of a criminal syndicate that was responsible for importing the drugs into Sydney

Senior officers from State Crime Command and the Australian Border Force joined NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb on Thursday at a news conference where she discussed the arrest and the raid from a month ago.

According to her, “Police will allege the guys were a member of a crime ring.”

We anticipate that the effects of this seizure will be noticed over the next several months in Sydney and Australia.

“Yesterday was about cutting off these organisations’ financial source,” the speaker said.
