Sunak visits Germany for a security seminar

Prior to a security forum to examine the war in Ukraine, Rishi Sunak’s jet has arrived in Munich, Germany.

While attending the conference, the prime minister will deliver a speech and have meetings with other international leaders.

As the anniversary of Vladimir Putin’s invasion approaches, he is anticipated to declare that it is time for the West to provide Ukraine with “modern, Nato-standard capabilities” to combat Russian forces and that more has to be done to “improve Ukraine’s long-term security.”

That follows Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s trip to London, France, and Brussels last week, during which he pleaded with the West to provide his air force F-16 fighter fighters.

In his address, Mr. Sunak is likely to say: “We need to do more to strengthen Ukraine’s long-term security.”

We need to provide them with the cutting-edge, NATO-standard capabilities they’ll need in the future.

And we must show them that we are prepared and ready to stand by their side as they repeatedly defend their nation.

“More than just the safety and sovereignty of one country are at risk in this conflict. Every nation’s security and sovereignty are at stake.
