Staff member at Virginia elementary school shot in another terror attack

Police are looking into the Friday shooting that injured a staff member at an elementary school in Virginia.

A spokeswoman for Richneck Elementary School in Newport News told 13newsnow.com that the school was placed on lockdown as police rushed to the site on Friday afternoon.

The extent of the employee’s damage wasn’t immediately clear, according to Michelle Price, a representative for Newport News Public Schools.

Around 2:00 p.m., she said, security teams were en route to the school and a reunification center had been established for parents.

The Post contacted the school on Friday, but a spokesman didn’t respond right away.
