Stacey Hampton reacts to Shane Smith’s death

Star of Married at First Sight Stacey Hampton has spoken out to pay a moving homage to her ex-boyfriend, a bikie and the father of her two sons, who she describes as an incredible father with a golden heart.

Senior Rebels manager Shane Smith, 38, tragically perished in a motorcycle accident early on Wednesday morning in Adelaide’s northeast.

Despite the paramedics’ valiant efforts to revive the father of four, he passed away at the spot.

Ms. Hampton, who made an appearance on MAFS season seven in 2020, dated the president of the Rebels in Adelaide from the time she was 19 years old until their breakup in July 2017, one month before he was found guilty of assaulting two nightclub bouncers.

He also had her name tattooed on his hand and was the father of her two little boys, Kruz and Kosta.

Since they split up five years ago, Ms. Hampton and her ex-husband have kept a cordial relationship.

According to Ms. Hampton of Nine News, “He is now at peace with his brother, mother, and friends.”

He was a wonderful father, both his parents and his children were dear to him.

“Our lives will never be the same, and our hearts are devastated.”

He adored his family and friends and had a heart of gold.

According to Mr. Smith’s Facebook profile, “family is everything,” “straight up, loyal to those faithful to me,” and “one club, one life.”

His terrible passing brings the number of fatalities on South Australian roads in 2022 to 52.

His upset sister was one of the mourners who Wednesday put flowers at the scene in Redwood Park.

A 45-year-old man who was riding behind Mr. Smith’s bike sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Just a few days after bikie enforcer Bradley Daniele unexpectedly passed away in the hospital, the Rebels paid tribute to “another brother lost way too soon.”

The team said in a statement that “today marks another tragic day for our club, we were all in disbelief of the passing of our brother Shane 1%er.”

We send our deepest sympathies to our brothers in Adelaide, as well as to Shane’s close relatives, particularly his four adorable children.

“You are deeply missed and will never be forgotten.”

I AM A REBEL FOREVER FOREVER.

It’s the most recent tragedy to affect Ms. Hampton, who previously lost her father to suicide in 1995 and her brother in a separate motorcycling accident in July 2015.

When Ms Hampton was due to give birth, her older brother Jaimie, who had taken over raising her after their father committed suicide, was killed in a motorbike accident.

After losing her only son, her mother Leanne broke down and moved in with her pregnant daughter, who ultimately endured an induction of labour.

A week after the death of her 23-year-old brother, Ms. Hampton’s kid was born, and she called her ex-partner Shane in prison from her hospital bed as he was sobbing at the news.

2020 saw her defending her ex and pleading with people not to hold his criminal past against him.

She claimed in a magazine interview that “he’s honestly the finest person” and that “I think he’s embarrassed of his past.”

I didn’t know about his lifestyle when we first met, at the age of 19, through mutual friends, but I fell in love with him right away, she added.

I was unaware at the time that he had assault charges that had surfaced from a long time ago.

They will “always be each other’s kryptonite,” according to Stacey, who is 11 years younger than her ex.

She claims, “Shane and I met when we were very young, and I fell hard and fast. We will always be each other’s kryptonite.”

“He was always really encouraging, and I suffered from awful postpartum depression, which is what inspired me to start my foundation.”

He took the kids away from me when I was unable to care for them. I was on my own and needed to fix myself. He was wonderful to me.

He still gives me emotional support for my choices, offers relationship counsel, and cares about my children’s happiness as much as mine.

We still have lunches and celebrate children’s birthdays together. We simply can’t be together because we fight and because we both have significant emotional scars from our pasts that conflict.

“It was a civil separation.” I have no regrets because he is a wonderful father.

In a prior interview with Daily Mail Australia while Smith was incarcerated, Ms. Hampton discussed her challenges as a young mother.

She claims, “My partner was in prison when I became pregnant at the age of 20 and gave birth at the age of 21.”

“I had to be admitted to the hospital with shingles from stress, and then, while I was very pregnant, I had Bell’s palsy from stress.”

Around 3am on Wednesday, Shane perished in a motorcycle accident in Adelaide’s northeast.

Smith frequently posts pictures of his family on social media, including one in which Kosta is being held by Stacey and the bikie leader is wearing the colours of the Rebels.

When friends praised his attractive spouse, he responded with “That’s Stacey Hampton my wife” and two heart emojis.

Along with Kosta’s name and birthdate of January 25, 2016, Smith also has the name of Ms. Hampton inked on his hand.

Smith was found guilty and given a $3,500 fine in February 2019 for attacking two bouncers on August 6, 2017, outside a bar in Bendigo.

He narrowly escaped going to jail after a court dropped an affray allegation because the brutal beatings weren’t thought to have terrified onlookers.
