South Sudan’s 71-year-old president peed while opening a road project

While launching a new road project, South Sudan’s 71-year-old president endured the humiliation of peeing himself on live television.

As the national anthem played on Tuesday, Salva Kiir Mayardit stood straight in front of the cameras as a wet spot emerged on his pants.

A video depicts trumpet fanfare and the festivities at the launching of the new route.

Before the camera moves away from him, it looks like the president is looking down at his legs.

In the video, he was surrounded by dignitaries and military leaders in the North African nation.

At his feet, a puddle is starting to form.

Apparently, the president has a urinary tract infection, according to reporters for the Sahara.

South Sudan opted to secede from the north in 2011, and Kiir has been in office ever since.

People showed their support for the president on Twitter since he is still serving the people at his advanced age.

He is 71 years old, which is not unusual at all for persons of his age, according to Mtz. Patrick.

‘Poor guy,’ tweeted another person. Not his fault.’

That’s terrible, remarked Angel, and Arvydas said, “Probably quite elderly and has health concerns.”
