On the N12 between Potchefstroom and Fochville this morning, a bus, a truck, and a minivan crashed, resulting in six injuries.
ER24 and other services discovered all three automobiles in the middle of the road when they arrived at 07:10.
Upon closer inspection, medical personnel discovered a mother seated nearby the minivan together with a girl and three boys, all between the ages of 3 and 8. Inside the minivan, another woman was discovered to be trapped.
Rescue Services had to remove the woman from the minivan using a variety of tools. When the patients were released, the doctors evaluated them and discovered that all six had suffered slight to serious injuries. Fortunately, no fatalities or major injuries were discovered.
After receiving care, the victims were taken to the Mediclinic Potchefstroom for more treatment.
For additional investigations, local authorities were on the scene.
