In Montgomery County, three people, including a child, lost their lives as a tornado struck the area. The Montgomery County Sheriff´s Office reported a tornado touching down around 2 pm, leading to extensive damage.
Homes were demolished, and a shelter was set up at a local high school for residents affected by the tornado.
Victims Identified
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department identified the victims killed downtown as Joseph Dalton, Floridema Gabriel Perez, and her two-year-old son, Anthony Elmer Mendez. The tornado tossed a mobile home onto Perez´s residence, resulting in tragic fatalities.

Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts expressed condolences, declaring a state of emergency in Clarksville. First responders urged residents to stay at home while they evaluated the situation.
