Simi’s Degree Not Considered a Waste
Simisola Kosoko, popularly known as Simi, a well-known Nigerian singer, recently expressed that her Mass Communication degree from Covenant University was not a waste.
Despite not using the certificate or being employed by a media firm, Simi believes that her degree holds value.
Impressed by how she effectively communicates through her music and social media, Simi proudly declared on Twitter that her Mass Comm degree did not go to waste.
Simi’s Journey to Love
In a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM, Lagos, Simi shared the story of how she met her now-husband and fellow musician, Adekunle Gold.
They dated for five years before tying the knot in 2019.
Simi revealed that Adekunle Gold had been sending her messages on Facebook for a long time, but she only noticed them after they started dating.
Their Memorable First Meeting
Simi recalled their initial encounter, which took place at one of her gospel concerts.
Adekunle Gold attended the concert wearing a white BYC (Be Your Culture) shirt and jeans.
Simi mentioned that her husband’s persistence played a role in her decision to consider dating him months after their first meeting.
She shared that they formed a friendship, and later that year, Adekunle Gold asked her out.
Despite not having much at the time, Simi found him to be a nice guy and was open to the possibility of a relationship.
