Sharjah Ruler witnesses swearing-in of Municipal Councils’ Chairmen

SHARJAH, 3rd June, 2022 (WAM) — H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, today witnessed, in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, the swearing-in of Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, Chairman Kalba Municipal Council, and Ahmed Abdullah bin Ya’rouf Al Naqbi, Chairman of Dibba Al Hisn Municipal Council.

After the swearing-in, the Sharjah Ruler exchanged with the new chairmen talks about important issues related to the roles of municipal councils in following up citizens’ affairs and the needs of cities and regions, and their coordination with government agencies to meet the needs of citizens.

Sheikh Sultan stressed the need to ensure the needs of the people of the city of Kalba and Dibba Al Hisn are studied in coordination with the concerned authorities and submitted to competent authorities to take the necessary decisions about them. His Highness also directed the need to support families’ bonds and enhance social cohesion.
