Shane Warne kids slam’respectless’ TV drama

Melbourne — The Australian cricket legend’s children deemed a television miniseries dramatizing his life to be “beyond disrespectful.”

The spin king died of natural causes at a luxurious resort in Thailand at the age of 52 in March, prompting shock and mourning from millions of admirers and celebrities and politicians around the world.

Australia’s Nine Network, who hired him for years as a pundit, revealed this week that it intends to air the two-part film “Warnie” next year.

“Over two enormous nights, Warnie will be a fitting tribute to one of the greatest Australians of all time, the Aussie rogue who lived and loved large,” the broadcaster added.

The eldest daughter of Warne, Brooke (24) expressed her anger.

“Who among you has respect for Dad? Or his household? Who worked so much for Channel 9 and now, six months after his death, you want to dramatize his life and the lives of his family? “She mentioned in her Instagram account.

“You are beyond inconsiderate.”

Summer (20), Warne’s second daughter, also criticized the incident, stating on Instagram, “I would really like to know what goes through people’s minds that makes them think this is acceptable?”

She described Nine Network as “a disgrace.”

“Show some deference. How unfortunate that barely six months after his passing you’re already attempting to profit from tragedy.”

Before becoming a recognized pundit, Warne amassed 708 Test wickets as part of a dominating Australian squad in the 1990s and 2000s. He is credited with resurrecting the art of leg-spin.
