Sexing Driver: New Zealand woman loses license

After engaging in sexual activity with a driver and causing a collision, the lady had her license suspended.

Lela Jane Josephs, 34, was charged with reckless driving and perverting the course of justice when she appeared in Whanganui District Court in New Zealand on Thursday.

Despite not being the driver, she was charged for allegedly acting inappropriately towards Andre Teka before the collision.

“You contributed to his losing control of the automobile and smashing into a farm fence,” the court told Josephs.

Joesphs confessed to the two offenses, but separate accusations for driving while inebriated and driving while banned were dropped.

In the end, she received a three and a half month jail term.

The court, however, reduced the punishment to 40 hours of community service and 12 months of close monitoring.

Aside from losing her license, Josephs was also penalized NZ $162.50 (AUD $145) and fined NZ $750 (AUD $670) for destroying the fence.

Following the collision on June 27 of last year, just before midnight, Josephs was discovered in the passenger seat, with Andre Teka operating the vehicle.

Before the cops came, Teka left the area. Then, neighbors got in touch with them about Josephs, who had been abandoned.

They stated she requested for their assistance abusively while inebriated.

Police discovered that Joseph had far exceeded the legal limit in New Zealand of 250mcg, having ingested 786 micrograms of alcohol per litre of breath.

Additionally, the lady provided the police a bogus identity and claimed not to be the driver.
