Jeff Hardy during WWE legend arrested on charges of alleged third drug or alcohol-related DUI offense within ten years, driving with a suspended license, and violation of restrictions placed on a driver’s license

During Jeff Hardy’s arrest in the early hours of Monday morning, three cops drew their guns.

The WWE legend and current All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star was arrested shortly after midnight on Sunday night in Volusia County, Florida on charges of alleged third drug or alcohol-related DUI offense within ten years, driving with a suspended, canceled, or revoked license, and violation of restrictions placed on a driver’s license.

The three officers can be seen drawing their firearms on Hardy in dashcam footage acquired by TMZ as he seemed to ignore their commands shouted through his locked windows.

Without more incident, he opened his vehicle door, and the former world champion appeared shaky on his feet as he got off the vehicle.

Hardy appeared to admit to consuming shots of Fireball before driving while being questioned by authorities.

Hardy, 44, appeared to stumble during each field sobriety test, and an officer detained him and informed him that he was ‘under arrest for the offense of DUI.’

According to police documents, Hardy – who has been upfront about his addiction difficulties – blew a.291 and a.294 – three times the.08 limit in Florida – through a breathalyzer at the station.

He bailed out of jail late Monday evening, but he faces three counts, including felony DUI and two misdemeanors, and he is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday for a hearing.

The surety cash bond for Hardy was set at $3,500 (£2,992), which included $500 (£417) for each licensing charge and $2,500 (£2,087) for the DUI.

Hardy was supposed to appear on Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, where he was supposed to team up with his brother Matt against The Young Bucks and Jurassic Express for the latter’s tag team championships.

The match is no longer promoted in Twitter postings promoting the show.

Following the event, AEW suspended Hardy and stated in a statement that it does not condone his alleged behavior.

‘We made it clear to Jeff that we’ll assist him in getting treatment for substance abuse issues, which he has indicated that he’s open to receiving,’ it read.

‘In the interim, he is suspended without pay, and he can only return to AEW upon successfully completing treatment and maintaining his sobriety.’

AEW also provided a helpline number for any fans in need.

Following an altercation at a live event, Hardy was abruptly fired by Vince McMahon’s business in December, and he made his AEW Dynamite debut on the same day he legally became a free agent.

He paired up with Matt earlier this month for a ‘dream match’ against the Young Bucks at AEW Double Or Nothing, but Matt stated Jeff was ‘knocked loopy’ early on and has no memory of the episode.

AEW and Jeff have yet to officially comment on the arrest or charges.
