School sexual assault case

A school lunch lady from Connecticut has been charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old student at her school after grooming him via text.

Andie Paige Rosafort allegedly sent nude photographs and videos to the teenage boy via Snapchat over a six-month period and had sexual intercourse with him.

The investigation into the claims began in January, and Rosafort was charged on March 1 with second-degree sexual assault, enticing a minor by computer, and risk of injury to a minor.

However, it has emerged that Rosafort had already been cleared by her employers of inappropriate contact with pupils.

An email and court documents obtained by Fox News Digital showed that Rosafort had met with district officials to discuss ‘concerns regarding social media and maintaining appropriate boundaries and communication with students’ before the latest investigation.

School principal Karen Gruetzner emailed Rosafort on December 1, 2022, acknowledging concerns regarding inappropriate content insinuated from her social media account. However, an investigation ‘determined that the content was not inappropriate,’ according to the email.

According to the affidavit, Rosafort had been communicating with the victim for six months through various social media platforms, including Instagram and Snapchat.

She is alleged to have sent several unsolicited nude images and videos of herself, including videos of herself masturbating, and asked the 14-year-old to send her nude photographs of himself in return.

The victim also reported that Rosafort attended his sports games and sent him videos of him playing.

The New Fairfield Police Department began investigating the latest allegations after receiving information on January 17 that inappropriate behavior had occurred between Rosafort and the teenager.

A friend of the victim informed her parents, who then reported the suspected sexual activity to the police. Police collected evidence that the victim and Rosafort were in the same location when the alleged sexual assaults occurred. Investigators also say they found a shirtless picture of the victim on Rosafort’s phone.

When the allegations came to light, Rosafort resigned from her part-time position at the school, having previously been warned to watch her interactions with minors.

School district records reveal how she was warned not to text or contact students through social media in December. Rosafort has been charged with several offenses, including sexual assault in the second degree and use of a computer to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity, injury or risk of injury, or impairing the morals of a minor, according to police.

She has pleaded not guilty to the charges with her next court appearance scheduled for March 23.
