Sarah Ferguson says she can speak openly about what she wants to say without offending anyone

Sarah Ferguson, Prince Andrew’s ex-wife and close friend of Queen Elizabeth II, recently stated in an interview that she feels “liberated” to speak about the royal family after the Queen’s death in September 2022 at the age of 96.
Ferguson, who divorced Andrew in 1996, acknowledged that her new novel, “A Most Intriguing Lady,” is partly based on her own story, saying that she believes in the absolute, unequivocal institution of the monarchy.
She added that she feels like an “authentic” version of herself now that she no longer worries about offending someone.

Regarding the Queen’s successor, King Charles III, and his wife, Queen Consort Camilla, Ferguson voiced her support, saying she has known them all her life.

Despite her newfound freedom to speak out about her former in-laws, Ferguson still holds the Queen in high esteem, stating that the late monarch listened and was her idol and legend.

Ferguson now takes care of the Queen’s beloved dogs, and when they bark, she feels like the Queen is with her.

Ferguson also praised Prince Harry, saying she is “thrilled” to see him “so happy” living in California with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their children.

She added that the late Princess Diana would have been “very proud” of her sons and grandchildren.

Ferguson is now a grandmother herself, as her and Andrew’s youngest daughter, Princess Eugenie, welcomed a son in February 2021 and is now expecting a second child.

Princess Beatrice, the former couple’s eldest daughter, had a baby girl in September 2021.
