wmakers have joined a rising chorus of dissenters demanding for the resignation of Vladimir Putin over the war in Ukraine.

Daniil Berman, who defended the Russian news anchor who displayed a protest banner on live television, has stated that the “special military operation” in Ukraine “is in fact a hot conflict with a sovereign state that must be stopped.”

He was joined by dozens of additional Russian MPs in signing a petition demanding Putin’s resignation, bringing the total to 67.

Daniil Berman, a prominent Russian human rights attorney, has joined the rising number of politicians and public figures urging Putin to quit over the Ukraine conflict.

Nina Belyaeva from Voronezh and Oxana Sergeyeva from Veliky Novgorod have both signed a petition demanding for Putin’s resignation.

Olga Podolskaya, Tula region deputy, has also signed the anti-Putin petition

They include Oleg Egorov from Samara, Ekaterina Vasilyeva from Yakutsk, Oxana Sergeyeva from Veliky Novgorod, Nina Belyaeva from Voronezh, Artyom Kanarev from Tomsk, and Olga Podolskaya from Tula.

In a scathing open letter to Putin, attorney Berman demanded the ouster of the Russian president, the rubber-stamp parliament, and the administration.

He stated, “I believe the “special military operation”… is a hot conflict with the sovereign state of Ukraine that must be stopped.”

The Russian military must withdraw from Ukraine, and the political leadership in Moscow must be “dismissed.”

Berman, 39, a human rights attorney, cautioned, “Further escalation of this military battle could precipitate a severe political crisis within the country.”

After the Civil War, Russia collapsed, its borders were lost, its populace was impoverished, and they lost their national identity.

Respected attorney: ‘Any appeals and actions from any person to continue this war, including “attacking strikes on decision-making centres in Ukraine”, on “critical infrastructure facilities”, the use of nuclear weapons – including low-yield ones – and any similar statements I consider to be anti-people and threatening to the survival of humanity as a species.’

Oleg Egorov (left) and Artyom Kanarev (right), from the provinces of Samara and Tomsk, respectively, are two of the 67 MPs currently asking for Vladimir Putin’s resignation.

Deputy of the Tula area, Olga Podolskaya, has also signed the anti-Putin petition.

He put his phone number for the police to contact him if they wished to arrest him for violating Russia’s severe rules prohibiting legitimate debate about Putin’s war.

“For my detention, preparation of administrative material against me, and/or arrest, I am willing to willingly appear before any investigative body or court,” he stated.

He has frequently defended clients accused of violating rules against army criticism.

Olga Shtatskaya, a Moscow-based councilwoman who is demanding Putin’s resignation, remarked, “The immovability of power is one of the greatest ills in life.”

If a politician has no opponents, the outcome will be disastrous. This is what we are now observing.’

Allies opposed to the war are signing an appeal that reads, “We, the municipal representatives of Russia, think that President Vladimir Putin’s actions threaten the future of Russia and its population.”

We urge Vladimir Putin’s resignation from his position as President of the Russian Federation.

There are deputies from all around Russia, with the majority hailing from Moscow and St. Petersburg.

The 43-year-old Russian newscaster Marina Ovsyannikova carried an anti-war sign on live television earlier this year.

Putin is also receiving severe criticism from pro-war figures for his military failures in Ukraine, including the recent loss at Kharkiv.

Multiple politicians in the Lomonosovsky area of Moscow’s capital city accused Putin of aggression, bringing his country back to the Cold War, and threatening the world with nuclear weapons.

They followed a similar call for Putin to resign by St. Petersburg councillors who urged he be punished with high treason over the Ukraine war.

Marina Ovsyannikova famously entered Russia’s most-watched news program while carrying a sign that read, “They’re lying to you here!” and “Stop the War!”

Since her first protest in March, Vladimir Putin’s officers have regularly targeted the journalist.

They accuse Ovsyannikova, 44, of disparaging the army in accordance with new severe legislation designed to stifle criticism of Putin’s war in Ukraine.

She has been penalized repeatedly for her anti-war statements.
