Russian draft-dodger gets arrested to fight in Ukraine

Putin’s conscript-catchers snared a man who was anxious to avoid being inducted into Russia’s terrible war in Ukraine at this precise moment.

Video captured from an apartment building in St. Petersburg depicts a man evading conscription agents who arrived at his residence.

Running across traffic, the man manages to elude two officers until another pair of officers apprehend him.

In just a few weeks, he may be fighting and dying on the frontlines of Ukraine after being sent to a training camp.

Last month, Putin ordered a partial mobilization of what he described as Russia’s military reserves, with 300,000 soldiers to be deployed to the battlefield.

Since then, film has surfaced of significant numbers of men, predominantly from Russia’s remote countryside, being herded into buses and transported to training camps.

Even though their families were assured they would train for months before heading into battle, death notices have begun to arrive after only a few weeks.

Putin revealed that approximately 220,000 individuals have been drafted so far and that the draft will conclude in a few weeks.

Despite this, rumors have circulated that Putin’s decree extends much beyond the 300,000 he announced, with as many as 1 million males on the list.

The omission of a crucial portion of the draft order provided by Putin has fueled rumors, with sources claiming that it contains the number to be dialed.

Nearly 400,000 people are believed to have gone across the border into Finland, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Mongolia as a result.

Putin is desperately attempting to prevent his forces from ceding any more ground to the Ukrainian army, which has made significant gains on both the north and south fronts during the past few weeks.

Experts and observers believe that the new recruits will be deployed to defend the land that the separatist leader has gained over the course of eight months of conflict, while missile attacks on Ukraine’s infrastructure and cities weaken the will to fight.

The objective appears to be to coerce Kiev and its allies into adopting a peace agreement that favors Moscow, despite warnings that doing so would give Putin time to re-equip his troops prior to another invasion.

It is clear that Russia incurred huge casualties on the battlefield in Ukraine, but the actual number of casualties is unknown.

Ukraine asserts that it has killed 65,000 Russian soldiers and destroyed over 2,500 tanks, 5,000 armored vehicles, and hundreds of aircraft and helicopters.

In August, the Pentagon assessed that 80,000 Russians had been dead or wounded, or roughly half of Putin’s initial invasion force.

Russia’s defense ministry asserts implausibly that just 5,937 servicemen have died, which contradicts the statement that 300,000 more troops are required.
