Russian dancer reveals her terror at being thrown in a bug-infested detention cell for twerking in public.

A Russian dancer who was detained for three days in a bug-infested cell as punishment for twerking in public has told how terrified she was.

Yana “Cat” Sloeva, 21, has gained support from the public for standing up to Vladimir Putin’s police force’s perceived overuse of the law.

Videos of her performing in the Boris Yeltsin Center in Yekaterinburg, where she is from, may be seen sporting the phrase “So what?” across her buttocks.

Despite not being close to a church or other place of worship, which are subject to strict legal restrictions in Russia, police held her there, and she was eventually given a three-day jail sentence.

It was a little strange, but Yana, a dance instructor, said: “I didn’t get a single negative reaction.

Everyone applauded and supported me.

“It’s like street performers like musicians or dancers.” My entire private anatomy was concealed.

It’s only a dance; I’m not a prostitute.

I am a pretty modest person in life, therefore it is preferable to be emancipated in this way rather than, say, by abusing narcotics.

“My parents, friends, and others are there for me…” I haven’t wounded anyone yet with my ass!

I was in a cell with four walls, under video monitoring, without a phone, without civilization, said Yana, who was being held in a temporary detention facility at the city’s interior ministry office.

“Just four walls with swarming insects covering you.

“I don’t want anyone to be there; it’s a scary place.

The street dancer was taken out of the public eye and locked away, according to police head Valery Gorelykh, who did not specify when or how this decision was made.

He claimed that the girl had been penalized for minor hooliganism.

She regretted for what she had done after realizing that she had gone beyond the bounds of civility.

Perhaps it will deter other people who enjoy unguarded dancing from acting in this way.

People with intelligence should take note of others’ errors.

Dancers “flashing their private parts” would not be tolerated, according to Gorelykh.

“There has never been, is not now, and never will be anarchy in our territory.

“The police will firmly prohibit any such acts.

But Ksenia Sobchak, Russia’s top female opposition politician and a previous presidential contender, gave Yana her support.

Is the Yeltsin Center a place of worship or what? she demanded. Why can’t you perform a brief dance in front of it?

Why is twerking by a gorgeous girl referred to as anarchy?

Does Valery Gorelykh, the police’s official representative in the Sverdlovsk region, drink before making comments?

Many others also criticized the behavior of the too rigorous police, with Sobchak accusing the authorities of “truly going nuts.”

Sergei Kolosovsky, a legal expert, claimed that the law was being improperly applied against her, and a poll found that while 28% thought she should have received a fine, 52% thought the punishment was harsh.

However, some conservative citizens voiced their support for the authorities’ choice on social media.

Such actions should be performed in bed with her husband, according to one critic.

She will be content, and her husband will be overjoyed, but not in front of others, especially kids and [those of] different faiths.

A decent girl wouldn’t act that way, another critic asserted.
