Russia hits a dam in Kryvyi Rih as ‘revenge’

In its latest “revenge” attack on people as its invasion fails, Russia bombed a dam with eight cruise missiles, prompting evacuations in a significant Ukrainian city.

The home city of President Zelensky, Kryvyi Rih, saw flooding on Wednesday afternoon and into the next morning as a result of an attack on the Karachun Dam.

Because of the impacts’ severe damage to the dam and a neighboring pumping station, the Inhulets River flooded and swelled.

Overnight, the river overflowed its banks, flooding city streets and homes and sweeping bridges away.

Overnight, the river burst its banks, flooding city streets and homes and washing away bridges.

The city, which had a pre-war population of 650,000, has two areas that are at risk of flooding, according to Kyrylo Tymoshenko, deputy head of the president’s office.

Residents of those areas have been ordered to leave, including those in the city center.

Now moving downstream to Kherson, the water will probably destroy or wash away the pontoon bridges that Ukrainian troops are using to assault the city.

According to the Institute for the Study of War, Russian forces probably targeted the Karachun Dam to destroy Ukrainian pontoon bridges further downstream.

As part of the continuing Kherson counteroffensive, it was also stated that the attack was carried out “in light of recent indications that Ukrainian troops are attempting to widen their bridgehead across the Inhulets River near Davydiv Brid.”

After its soldiers were diverted to the east, Russia also used missiles to attack power plants and pipelines in Kharkiv, cutting off the city’s water and electricity.

In his nighttime lecture, Zelensky discussed the most recent Russian strikes, branding Putin’s military as “terrorists” and “weaklings.”

His words were, “Your missile attacks today, Russian missiles hitting Kryvyi Rih, the dam of the Karachunivske reservoir, the objects that have absolutely no military significance.”

‘Another reason why Russia will lose [the war] is because they hit hundreds of thousands of regular civilians.

You are scoundrels who left the battleground and are now attempting to damage people from a great distance; you are weaklings fighting a war against innocent civilians.
