Many South African celebrities have had an interesting year, but Springbok flyhalf Elton Jantjies has had a particularly busy one.
This year, Jantjies experienced drama both on and off the rugby field, beginning with his alleged violation of the Civil Aviation Act and property damage after his return flight from Dubai. However, the case against him was provisionally dropped.
The 32-year-old was then embroiled in an alleged cheating incident involving Springboks nutritionist Zeenat Simjee. Simjee is, however, adamant that the affair never occurred.
Jantjies eventually revealed to his wife, though, that he was indeed involved with Simjee.
His wife has verified to a local publication that their divorce will be formalized after the holiday season, according to sources. This despite their recent pictures of affection.
Jantjies has since joined the French rugby club Agen. He has stated that he is committed to his current position at Agen and hopes to rejoin the Springboks the following season.
