RTIA dismisses CFO, Ms Palesa Moalusi over allegations of misconduct

The Agency’s CFO, Ms. Palesa Moalusi, was summarily fired following a thorough investigation into allegations of misconduct.

The dismissal came about as a result of Ms. Moalusi being found guilty of all of the misconduct charges brought against her during the disciplinary hearing.

RTIA Chairperson, Ms. Bongekile Zulu, declares, “We are committed to combating corruption, serious misconduct, and ensuring the effective functioning of the organization. “This kind of misconduct cannot be tolerated because we provide a crucial service to the public.”

Several financial irregularities involving the improper extension of service contracts with various third-party suppliers are the basis for the dismissal. Additionally, the incorrect reporting of the business’ performance during the 2017–2018 fiscal year is charged.
