RSPCA investigates cat flung from car window in frightening video

A horrifying video of a cat being thrown out of a vehicle window and dying in the middle of the road has surfaced.

The incident happened on Summerfield Road in Bradford on August 23 at approximately 4.30 p.m. The RSPCA is asking for information about it.

The startling video shows what seems to be a black Seat Leon Cupra pulling over to the side of the road, throwing the cat out the passenger side window, and then driving off.

Before collapsing and passing away, the kitty made an effort to limp along the street.

Later, a neighbour discovered the kitten and called the RSPCA after reviewing home security footage.

Following her arrival, Inspector Rebecca Goulding brought the 10-week-old kitten to the clinic, where it was discovered that it also had a fractured front limb and a hernia.

The animal also had a damaged front leg, which was discovered at an initial vet checkup, and a hernia between its hind legs, which was consistent with a hit between the legs. I think the cat could have suffered from them before it was cruelly tossed from the vehicle,” she added.

The poor helpless kitten is tossed from the vehicle and walks a few paces before dying on the road, perhaps from shock, as one viewer said.

Ms. Goulding expressed optimism that publishing the car’s surveillance video may help RSPCA detectives find the offender.

According to her, the automobile is “very unique” and should make it easier for someone to come forward with details regarding the event.

The event occurs as British citizens who are struggling financially are abandoning their family pets in numbers unseen since the 2008 financial crisis as the cost of living rises.

This year, 148 cats have been given up to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home “for financial reasons,” which is a two-fold increase from 2021.

It said that many were lockdown animals whose owners had overestimated the expense of caring for them.

‘People are worried about increased living expenses during the winter and worry that they won’t be able to afford to care for their pet cat,’ said Bridie Williams, Battersea’s rehoming and welfare manager.

Because they are losing their cat, the owners are often distraught and go through a mourning process. They are going through a really emotional moment.

In contrast, Dogs Trust has 692 dogs in need of homes in 21 locations around the nation.

It happens when rising grocery and power prices make it unaffordable for many families to pay for pet food and veterinary care, which is a direct result of the cost of living squeeze facing Britons across.

The RSPCA received 1.08 million complaints about animal abuse in 2021, including allegations of heinous abuses, beatings, and mutilations.

During the same time frame, 1,094 animals were reported deceased, which works out to about three every day.

In the meanwhile, 7,857 creatures had been cruelly beaten in addition to 632 that had been horribly maimed.

An RSPCA investigation revealed that seven cats are abused every single day.

The RSPCA started the “Cancel Out Cruelty” campaign to assist the volunteers and employees and generate money to maintain rescue teams on the front lines.

The campaign is designed to raise awareness about the work of investigators and the role the public can play in reporting and stamping out animal abuse.

Anyone with information regarding the incident can report what they know to the RSPCA appeals line on 0300 1234 999.
