Royals rush to Her Majesty’s bedside as she remains ill

A RAF flight carrying Prince William, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, and his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex, has landed in Scotland as they speed to join Prince Charles and Princess Anne at the Queen’s bedside for a vigil.

Children and grandchildren of Her Majesty have raced to Balmoral after doctors disclosed they are ‘concerned’ about the monarch’s health and are keeping her under medical monitoring.

The 96-year-old monarch is described as “comfortable” after physicians assessed her this morning, hours after they urged her to rest instead of attending a Privy Council meeting last night.

The Queen’s doctors are concerned about Her Majesty’s health and have urged that she remain under medical monitoring, according to a royal spokesperson. The Queen continues to reside in comfort at Balmoral.

It is believed that Prince Charles, Camilla, and Princess Anne are visiting their monarch, whose health appears to have deteriorated this morning. At 4:00 p.m., Prince William led the Duke of York, Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, and his wife Sophie off a jet from RAF Northolt in London to Aberdeen.Prince William led the way off the plane (circled left) followed by Edward and Sophie (pictured centre) and finally Prince Andrew (pictured right)

A spokesperson for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stated that they were their route to Scotland, but the couple was not on the plane. According to ITV News, the pair is coordinating plans with other members of the Royal Family amidst tensions since they stepped down as frontline royals, although they are “traveling independently.”

However, Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, remained behind and was pictured in Windsor picking up George, Charlotte, and Louis after their first full day at their new school.

This afternoon, a Royal flight carrying family members to Balmoral departs from RAF Northolt in London.

Concerned for the Queen’s health, the Royal Family and their aides board an RAF plane bound for Aberdeen to rush to her side.

Tuesday at Balmoral, Scotland, the Queen waits in the Drawing Room before receiving Liz Truss for an audience. Currently, she is under the care of doctors due to health problems.

At Balmoral, one of the Royal Family’s helicopters has landed. William is believed to be there with Charles and Camilla on his way from Windsor. Both Prince Andrew and Princess Anne are scheduled to arrive.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, departs Windsor Castle as she remained in England with her three children on their first day of school.

A statement regarding the Queen’s health is extremely rare and raises significant worries.

PM: “The entire nation will be profoundly concerned about Her Majesty.”

Prime Minister Liz Truss stated, “The entire nation will be profoundly troubled by the news from Buckingham Palace this afternoon.”

At this time, my thoughts, along with those of the entire United Kingdom, are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family.

Buckingham Palace disclosed that her “immediate family” was notified, with her heir, the Prince of Wales, and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, coming to her bedside from their Scottish residence Birkhall, around 10 miles from Balmoral.

To be with the 96-year-old monarch, the Duke of Cambridge flew from Windsor.

However, his wife Kate remains at Adelaide Cottage because it is the first full day of school for George, Charlotte, and Louis.

The Princess Royal, Princess Anne, has already arrived in Balmoral this week following an engagement in Scotland.

This afternoon, the Duke of York and the Earl and Countess of Wessex flew up with William.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were supposed to attend the WellChild Awards in London this evening, but their spokesman stated that they are instead traveling to Aberdeenshire as millions of Britons and Her Majesty’s subjects around the globe pray for her health.

It remains unknown how they will get there.

A remark about the monarch’s health is extremely rare and indicative of a dire situation. All of her children, including Prince William and Prince Harry, are either already by her side or on their way, according to analysts.

Nigel Cawthorne, a royal biographer, stated, “It leads us to suspect the situation is far more dire than what we’ve been informed.”

And anxious British citizens have already congregated at the gates of Balmoral to pray and offer their respects for Her Majesty.

Minutes before the Buckingham Palace announcement, the new prime minister, Liz Truss, was informed of the development in the House of Commons, where she was announcing her proposals to cap energy prices for the next two years.

Ms Truss, who was at Balmoral with the Queen on Tuesday when she was sworn in as prime minister, stated that ‘the whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime’ and that’my thoughts – and the thoughts of people across the United Kingdom – are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time.

Yesterday, the Queen was advised by doctors to postpone a Privy Council meeting at the last minute. The 96-year-old monarch has been instructed to rest after a busy Tuesday, during which she greeted both Boris Johnson and Liz Truss at Balmoral and performed other light tasks.

And today, Buckingham Palace announced that physicians have been sent to Balmoral in response to this morning’s worries.A statement about the Queen's health is exceptionally rare and raises major concerns

Charles was rumored to have made several early trips to his mother during the summer, as she continued to struggle with her mobility, with the unscheduled visits being deemed exceedingly odd.

Today, Nadhim Zahawi briefed Liz Truss on the Queen in the Commons shortly prior to the release of her health-related news.

Prince Charles participated in a roundtable with Natasha Allergy Research Foundation participants yesterday. Charles is visiting Balmoral today.

Prince William, shown yesterday with his wife and children on their first day of school at Lambrook School, is also traveling to Scotland.

How the Queen’s health has deteriorated after Prince Philip’s passing.

In June, the Queen attended the Royal Company of Archers Reddendo Parade in the gardens of the Palace of Holyroodhouse while holding a walking stick.

The health of the Queen has been scrutinized throughout the past year, with the monarch being forced to withdraw from major events due to ongoing mobility problems.

She wowed the audience on the first day of her Platinum Jubilee festivities, June 2, when she appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace and then at Windsor Castle.

The following day, however, she declined to attend the Platinum Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral, citing ‘discomfort’ amid the previous day’s festivities. It is understood that the choice was deemed unfortunate, but reasonable due to the length of the journey, the time involved, and the physical effort the event would have needed.

While she made a number of in-person visits in the weeks leading up to her Jubilee celebrations, including a surprise visit to open the Elizabeth line and a golf buggy tour of the Chelsea Flower Show, the Queen has suffered from ongoing “episodic mobility problems” since last fall and now uses a cane.

In October 2021, she used a walking stick for the first time at a significant engagement, a service at Westminster Abbey. A week later, following a hectic fall schedule, her physicians instructed her to rest and advised her to cancel a trip to Northern Ireland.

On October 20, 2021, the Queen was surreptitiously admitted to the hospital for ‘preliminary investigations’ and spent the night for the first time in eight years. The following day, she was back at her Windsor desk performing minor chores.

Buckingham Palace stated that she had been urged to continue to rest and not make any official visits after she canceled further high-profile engagements, including the Cop26 climate change meeting and the Festival of Remembrance. She was determined to attend the Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph, but a sprained back prevented her from doing so.

She performed only light tasks for more than three months, including virtual and face-to-face audiences within the walls of Windsor Castle.

In February 2022, she celebrated her Platinum Jubilee by visiting with charity workers at Sandringham House and cutting a Jubilee cake, which was her largest public appearance since October.

The country’s longest-reigning monarch commented during a face-to-face audience in February, “Well, as you can see, I can’t move.” This is due to the fact that many of her tasks are now performed via video calls.

There were concerns for her health when she tested positive for Covid on February 20, 2022. The triple-vaccinated Queen experienced mild cold-like symptoms, but stated that the virus rendered her “very fatigued and exhausted.” She performed minimal responsibilities while in seclusion at Windsor, but she canceled some virtual audiences.

In March, she skipped the Commonwealth Day ceremony at Westminster Abbey, an important occasion in the royal calendar given the importance of the international family to her, and she also skipped the Maundy Thursday service. But she rallied to attend a memorial ceremony for the Duke of Edinburgh at the end of March, walking slowly and cautiously with the use of a cane and grasping the Duke of York’s elbow for support.

In May 2022, she skipped the State Opening of Parliament for the first time in nearly 60 years, citing “episodic mobility issues” as the reason. Prince of Wales and Duke of Cambridge opened parliament on her behalf as Counsellors of State, with Charles for the first time in history reading the Queen’s Speech.

In the past seven months, Buckingham Palace has generally only confirmed the Queen’s participation at engagements on the day of the event, with the decision based on how she feels in the morning. She attended both the Windsor Horse Show in May and the equestrian extravaganza A Gallop Through History near Windsor, the first major event of the Jubilee celebrations.

She also made an unannounced appearance to officially launch the Elizabeth line at Paddington Station, albeit her stay was only 10 minutes long. She also attended the Chelsea Flower Show, where she was driven about in her new high-tech golf buggy for her comfort.

The Archbishop of Canterbury stated that the nation is praying for the Queen, the head of the Church of England. Justin Welby tweeted, “My prayers and the prayers of people across the (Church of England) and the nation are with Her Majesty The Queen today.”

“May God’s presence comfort and strengthen Her Majesty, her family, and those caring for her at Balmoral.”

She was scheduled to hold the Privy Council yesterday evening, at which the new Prime Minister would have taken her oath as First Lord of the Treasury and Cabinet members would have taken their oaths and been appointed privy counsellors, if they had not already been so.

This lunchtime, there was a flurry of activity in the House of Commons as concerns about the Queen are discussed with the Prime Minister. She received a note from Nadhim Zahawi, which she read and filed.

Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle interrupted SNP Westminster leader Ian Blackford’s speech during the energy debate to tell MPs, “I know I speak on behalf of the entire House when I say that we send our best wishes to Her Majesty the Queen and that she and the royal family are in our thoughts and prayers at this time.” He added, “If there is anything else, we will keep the House informed.”

Following the revelation of the Queen’s health problems, the royal family’s website appeared to malfunction. Gateway time-out was displayed as an error message on the screen.

Ian Blackford, leader of the SNP in Westminster, was “devastated” to hear the news of the Queen’s health.

Sir Lindsay Hoyle, the Speaker, interrupted Mr. Blackford’s remarks in the energy discussion to convey the best wishes of the House to the Queen.

Mr. Blackford resumed his address by telling the House of Commons, “I’m sure that on behalf of all colleagues, we’re all heartbroken to hear the news, and our thoughts and prayers are with Her Majesty the Queen and the royal family.”

The First Minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon, stated, “We are all very concerned by reports of Her Majesty’s health.”

At this time, my thoughts and prayers are with the Queen and the entire royal family.

It follows a series of health issues for the increasingly fragile monarch, who was urged not to travel from her Highland residence to London this week to accept the resignation of her outgoing prime minister and replace Miss Truss.

The Queen appointed a Prime Minister at Balmoral for the first time in her 70-year reign.

Instead of having the Queen, who has had intermittent mobility issues since October, return from Scotland, the two lawmakers made the 1,000-mile round-trip journey from London.

Buckingham Palace stated that the delay in proceedings, which would be rescheduled, did not raise any constitutional concerns and that the decision to advise Her Majesty to rest did not involve a hospital stay.

The decision to postpone the virtual meeting, however, will certainly lead to increased concerns for the Queen’s health.

Yesterday evening, a Palace official stated, “After a full day yesterday, Her Majesty accepted the advise of her doctors and rested this afternoon.”

This implies that the Privy Council meeting originally scheduled for this evening will be rescheduled.

As a result of her growing age, the Queen was photographed on Tuesday smiling and alert but yet fragile, needing a cane and exhibiting considerable bruising on her hands.

It was the first time she had been seen in public in 47 days, as she was enjoying her yearly vacation on Royal Deeside. In addition to meeting with Mr. Johnson and Ms. Truss on Tuesday, the Queen had a second duty: awarding her outgoing communications secretary Donal McCabe with the Insignia of a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order – a reward for service to the Royal Family that is in her personal gift.

A number of guests were observed departing the castle before the first performances began, while she dealt with several red boxes of documents. The Queen is claimed to have been ‘inundated’ with guests during her annual holiday, although her grandson Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, who are in the United Kingdom on a brief visit from California, are not among them.

Multiple authoritative sources have stated that the monarch is “aged, not ailing,” and a recent observer described her as “in fine form.” However, she decided not to attend the Braemar Gathering, the most renowned Highland Games event, last week.

The Prince of Wales stood in for Elizabeth at the State Opening of Parliament earlier in the year.

Doctors ordered her to rest for the following three months, so she missed the Remembrance Sunday Cenotaph service in London and the Cop26 climate change negotiations in Glasgow because she spent a night in the hospital last October undergoing testing.

The Queen, who lost her husband of 73 years, Prince Philip, in April of last year, contracted Covid in February and experienced mild cold-like symptoms, but stated that the virus left her “extremely fatigued and exhausted.”

As the nation’s longest-reigning monarch, she was able to make two brief appearances at the June celebrations for her Platinum Jubilee.

Tuesday at Balmoralon, the Queen invites Liz Truss to become Prime Minister and establish a new administration.

Tuesday at an audience at Balmoral, Scotland, Queen Elizabeth II leans on a walking staff as she welcomes Liz Truss.

The Queen experienced an outpouring of affection on social media on Tuesday as the Royal Family revealed photographs of her welcoming Liz Truss at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, where she welcomed the newly-elected leader of the Conservative Party to become prime minister.

The smiling head of state appeared well but feeble and used a walking stick during the audience, which followed a visit by the resigning prime minister Boris Johnson.

The Queen appointed a Prime Minister at Balmoral for the first time in her 70-year reign.

It was also the first time Her Majesty has been photographed since July 21, when she was spotted arriving at the estate for her summer vacation.

Instead of having the monarch, who has had intermittent mobility problems since October, return from Scotland, the two lawmakers made the 1,000-mile round-trip journey from London.

The queen met Ms. Truss while wearing a shirt, cardigan, and Balmoral tartan skirt. Her hair was perfectly curled.

In images of their meeting, some observers remarked that Her Majesty’s right hand appeared bruised or purple.

Many social media users, however, defended the monarch, remarking on how well she had carried herself and paid tribute to the extraordinary length of her reign, which has already covered the mandates of 15 prime ministers, including that of Truss.

The Queen is now enjoying her summer vacation at Balmoral and is not expected to return until early October.

Yesterday, Mr. Johnson arrived at around 11.16 a.m. and departed at approximately 11.55 a.m., while Ms. Truss arrived at approximately 12.22 p.m. and departed at approximately 12.55 p.m.

Additionally, the Queen had a subsequent responsibility that was noted in the Court Circular.

She bestowed upon her Communications Secretary Donal McCabe the Insignia of a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order (LVO), a personal reward for service to the royal family bestowed by the monarch.

Guests were also observed departing the castle before the first performances began. During her annual vacation, the Queen frequently invites family members and friends to stay with her.

Recently, The Sun claimed that the Prince of Wales has been making unscheduled morning trips to his mother, who continues to struggle with her mobility, despite the fact that these visits are exceedingly unusual.

Last weekend, she skipped the Braemar Gathering highland games, which she usually attends every year.

Royal insiders acknowledged that there were two major obstacles to the Queen’s attendance: first, getting her to the games, and second, the length of time she would have to spend in public watching them.

Just two days earlier, Buckingham Palace announced that the Queen would remain in Scotland to pick a new prime minister at Balmoral for the first time in her reign. This decision generated fresh health concerns.

Following a tradition begun by Queen Victoria 174 years ago in 1848, the Queen has never missed the Highland Games during her 70-year reign. The event takes place close to where Her Majesty spends her yearly summer on the Balmoral Castle estate in Aberdeenshire.

In addition, the queen stayed at home on Sunday instead of attending the regular Sunday worship service at Balmoral.

Prince Charles struck a lonely figure as he attended the weekly service at Crathie Kirk without Her Majesty. In the previous year, the monarch was a frequent participant at the little church while living at the royal estate.

Buckingham Palace has refrained to remark on the monarch’s health on a continuous basis.

During her Platinum Jubilee festivities, the Queen visited Buckingham Palace only twice: once for her balcony appearance at the Trooping the Colour pageant, and once for a farewell performance after the spectacle.

She spends the majority of her time in Windsor Castle, 22 miles from downtown London, residing there during the epidemic and significant repairs at the Palace, as well as for her own comfort.

She spent a covert night in the hospital undergoing testing in October and was subsequently ordered to rest for the next three months, skipping the Remembrance Sunday Cenotaph service and Cop26 climate change negotiations.

The Queen contracted Covid in February and experienced mild cold-like symptoms; however, she reported that the virus left her “extremely fatigued and exhausted.”
