Recently, Rod Stewart amused fans with an impression of his longtime friend Sir Elton John.

Sir Rod posted a video to his 1.2 million Instagram followers of himself playing the piano while dressed as Elton John and wearing glasses.

It was accompanied by the caption “Still love you, Elt.”

The two have a 50-year history of pranks and jabs at each other, which have occasionally erupted into feuds.

In their series of one-up pranks, Rod launched billboards to promote his 1970s Blondes ‘ave More Fun Tour. In response, Elton erected billboards with his face that read, “But Brunettes make more money.”

Nonetheless, in 2018, during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Rod said that Elton’s tour was “dishonest” and “reeked of selling tickets.”

In his autobiography, Elton exclaimed, “I thought he had a f***ing cheek, complaining about me promoting a tour while he was sat on a TV show promoting his own tour.” The public jab sparked a real feud between the pair, who were no longer on speaking terms.

This prompted Rod to apologize, explaining that he was “completely out of line.”

And the pair appears to be back to their pranking ways, having finally reconciled after three years of not speaking.
