Rob Mallard, the beloved actor known for his role as Daniel Osbourne in Coronation Street, has expressed his desire to be part of the star-studded cast of Neighbours following the highly anticipated Amazon freevee revival of the Australian soap.

In an exclusive chat with Daily Star at the British Soap Awards 2023, the 31-year-old TV star revealed his interest in joining Neighbours if he were to leave his role in Weatherfield behind.
He mentioned a friend who is obsessed with the show and how it would be “the coolest thing ever” for her if he appeared on Neighbours.
Weather Challenges for Rob Mallard
While Rob Mallard expressed his willingness to be part of Neighbours, he acknowledged one potential challenge – the scorching hot weather in Australia.
He humorously shared his struggle with tanning, saying, “I don’t tan well. I go pink and then I go white and then I go back to blue.
So I’m not a good tanner but I’d do it for Neighbours.”
Recasting on Neighbours Revival
The Neighbours revival has not been without changes, as soap bosses recently revealed the recasting of characters Nell Rebecchi and Hugo Somers.
The official Neighbours Instagram account introduced the new actors portraying these characters, Ayisha Salem-Towener and Tanner Ellis-Anderson.
The show’s storyline picks up 10 years after its cancellation, hinting at dramatic changes ahead.
