A Florida neighborhood is on high alert after doorbell cameras captured footage of a man in business clothes wielding a machete while knocking on doors.
WSVN 7 News obtained footage of a bald man wearing glasses, a dress shirt, a tie, and pants strolling up to a house in Lauderhill at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Monday.
Due to safety concerns, the couple who submitted the video with WSVN and requested anonymity stated the man used a machete to tap on the home’s door and walkway.
The unidentified man told WSVN, “I saw some random guy knocking on the door with the back of a machete.” Then he vanishes as quickly as he appeared.
“He did not appear to be lost or puzzled. He appeared quite deliberate and businesslike, as if he were dressed for work and carrying a machete “the woman informed the site in anonymity. It is so cryptic that we have no notion what his intentions are.
Just prior to knocking on the door of the unidentified couple, a couple across the street reported to WSVN that the same weird event occurred at their doorstep.

According to WSVN, the incident was reported to the Lauderhill Police Department, who stated that it was a suspicious incident but that no crime had been committed.
The Lauderhill Police Department’s spokeswoman did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.
According to WSVN, police have boosted their presence in the neighborhood, and the anonymous couple wants neighbors to be informed of the strange figure.
