Rasta The Artist once again paid homage to the late rapper Riky Rick by painting portraits of the artist and posting them on Twitter on January 5; the paintings left netizens perplexed since they did not resemble the UNGAZINCISHI hitmaker.

Lebani Sirenje, often known as Rasta The Artist, is a Zimbabwean-born painter who is most recognized in South Africa for paying personal respect to deceased celebrities through the creation of paintings.

According to Rasta The Artist’s Instagram bio,

“Called the best painter in California,” Art is my love; I tell stories as they are, allowing my imagination to work its magic.”

Yesterday, the painter uploaded his most recent work to the Internet, which had Internet users in fits of laughter. Rasta published online photographs of Riky Rick with accompanying captions.

“RIP Ricky Rick, Sidlukotini. Cottonfest 2023. #CottonFest #cottonfest2023 #RIPRickyRick #sidlukotini”

The fourth annual Cotton Festival had returned to Johannesburg. The celebration occurred on February 4th. Cotton Festival, according to In Your Pocket, was started by Riky Rick and aims to “celebrate South African talent by assembling a high-octane lineup of local artists, musicians, rappers, and DJs.”

According to the Sunday World, Riky Rick committed himself by hanging himself with a rope while suffering from depression. He was discovered alive and was transported to the hospital. Sadly, he passed away while route to the hospital on February 23, 2022.

It would not be the first time, according to TimesLIVE, that Rasta’s paintings of the rapper have failed to pass the bar.

Last year, Rasta displayed his drawings of the late musician, to the displeasure of netizens. According to reports, Rasta was “unfazed” by the response he received from fans and online users upon viewing the first photos.

Rasta was quoted as stating he painted the images five years before the death of the rapper. In truth, Rasta claims he saw Riky Rick, who praised him for painting him while he was still alive after viewing his portraits.
