Rapid turnaround since league debut vs Royal AM

Regarding the rapid turnaround since the league debut versus Royal AM over the weekend:

Only 24 hours have passed since our previous game for us to recuperate.

We practised a lot of dead ball scenarios throughout our preparations, as well as our tactical moves and approach, which we had to improve on due to the time constraints.

We are pleased with how well the guys are reacting. They seem to be back in action, which is excellent.

How to anticipate Maritzburg United:

We are aware that we will be facing a challenging squad going into the game.

They used three in the back and four in the centre in the one game they played, and they also had a 4-3-3 diamond formation.

That may be changed to 3-5-2 or 3-4-2-1 with ease. We have been prepared for it since we learned that coach John Maduka is a clever coach.

Regarding the opposition’s star players:

They have talented players, Bulelani Ndengane commanding the back three along with Keegan Ritchie, and a sturdy spine.

They have two playmakers who are also defensive midfielders who are excellent with the ball.

They have wingbacks that press extremely high upfield, such Bongani Sam, and Phiwayinkosi Zuma is one of their three attackers.

They have a great squad, but we can take advantage of some of the openings they open up when they go forward.

Considering that they are messing about, we don’t anticipate them to develop such areas. We predict that they may establish a low block and play on the counter.

Regarding what to anticipate from Kaizer Chiefs:

The guys seem to be in excellent shape; let’s wait and see how they will attack the opponents.

We felt it was important to start with (Dillon) Solomons. He provided us an additional attacking phase of the game when he entered the game (versus Royal AM).

We will need to be aggressive while playing at home.

He is a skilled ball-crosser and makes decisions that are 80–90% accurate. Cole (Alexander), who will perform as one of the eights, is being replaced by George (Matlou).

That will also make it simpler for us to use the creativity we need. In addition to helping us when we lose the ball up front, we are allowing him the ability to advance, apply pressure, and prevent the opponent from entering our defensive half.
