The chief TV propagandist for Vladimir Putin has called for London to be’reduced to rubble’ following claims that Ukraine was ‘prepared’ to deploy British missiles to strike Crimea.
The most recent rhetorical diatribe against the United Kingdom was presented on a nightly show on Russia 1 hosted by Vladimir Solovyov, the top propagandist.
On the potential of the British government supplying Kyiv with Harpoon anti-ship missiles or surface-to-air Storm shadow missiles, one of Solovyov’s ‘analysts’ directly paraphrased a dossier with the phrase “give them hell”
This might result in a significant escalation of the conflict if Ukraine employs these weapons to strike deep within Russian-occupied Crimea.
The British press is proclaiming, “We’re going to give them hell!” So remarked Solovyov’s analysts, citing the report. “They are us [Russians],” he declared.
‘They all view this as perfectly acceptable. ‘Russians can and must be killed!’ they repeat continuously,’ he asserted, omitting to mention that Solovyov’s television programs have frequently called for the bombing of the United Kingdom and Ukraine’s other western allies.
This is the issue with Russians. They won’t give up so simply,’ Solovyov interjected. The camera cut to the show’s host.
“London will become ash!” In an apparent effort at a joke, he said, “To dust!” while gazing wide-eyed directly down the camera and raising his arm and open hand in front of him, as if to portray himself as an evil sorcerer.
He asks his guests, “Or should I say it in English?” He says, “Burn in hell” in English. “Is that better, yes? Good?’ he says in Russian before exclaiming in English, “Flames!”
The most recent tirade on Russian television occurred after British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak met with Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky to discuss the UK’s potential to give Kyiv with long-range missiles, which it does not have at present.
The Prime Minister stated that these would make a “huge difference” in Ukraine’s resistance to the Russian invasion.
Reportedly, they are currently debating whether to integrate Harpoon (with a range of up to 150 miles) or Storm Shadow missiles (350 miles).
Such capabilities would let Ukraine to strike far beyond enemy lines, thwarting Moscow’s plans to launch a new offensive to capture the nation.
Zelensky demanded rapid delivery of modern weapons to his forces on Thursday, stating that Russia’s fresh attack had already begun.
He also ruled out the surrender of any Ukrainian territory as part of a peace agreement with Russia.
He told the BBC that Russian strikes are already occurring from multiple directions.
‘Of course, modern weapons hasten the pace of peace. He stated that weapons are the only language Russia understands. Recently, NATO members, notably the United Kingdom, Germany, and the United States, pledged to send main battle tanks to Ukraine.
Kyiv is also requesting for long-range missiles and fighter jets to bolster its firepower, which will aid in its defense against the forthcoming attack.
In his nightly address, the leader of Ukraine stated that his first goal was to repel Russian strikes and prepare for a potential Ukrainian counteroffensive.
‘Maintaining the situation at the front and preparing for any enemy escalation is the immediate priority,’ he stated.
This is not the first time that Solovyov has called for the bombing of London; he did it as recently as last weekend.
“Why can’t we finally attack London?” What is the issue?’ the host of Solovyev Live asked his audience.
“No, no, no – only military targets,” he said, as if in response to objections to his proposal. “Well, even in the Parliament,” he continued.
As if to legitimize an attack on London, he said, “Well, they’re [Britain] going to give [Ukraine] planes to strike deep into Russian territory.”
Solovyov then took issue with the fact that the United Kingdom, along with nearly all other UN members, recognizes Crimea as a part of Ukraine and not Russia.
When an internationally unrecognized referendum held under Russia’s occupation of Crimea indicated support for the peninsula’s incorporation into Russia, the Crimean parliament backed by Moscow declared independence from Ukraine.
2014 saw the illegal annexation of the territory by Russia. At the time, the action was widely denounced by the international community.
Solovyov stated, “At the same time, they [Britain] craftily assert, “No, we simply do not recognize Crimea as part of Russia.” What do you think of Kaliningrad?’ he inquired rhetorically.
What do they wish to convey? In other words, you will now decide what Russia means to you? You will determine what Russia is for us, not the people who live in Russia, not a referendum, and not a vote.
“In that case, we will not recognize at all; for us, England does not exist.” No France. There is no Germany.
He repeated the Kremlin’s erroneous allegations that Ukraine and its Western allies are governed by Nazi governments: ‘Instead, there are Nazi states united by hatred for anything Russian.’
‘And so let’s get serious. Do they believe there are no boundaries?
‘Okay. Let’s demonstrate that there are no longer any red lines,’ he demanded.
Harpoon
The Harpoon is a surface-to-surface anti-ship missile that can strike ships up to 80 miles away.
‘Let’s strike! In order for the first bell to sound. So that all Fascist b*******, from [Emmanuel] Macron to [German chancellor Olaf] Scholz, from [German defense minister Boris] Pistorius to [Rishi] Sunak, would have their testicles contract and fall out of their ears out of dread.
“Perhaps they will begin to grasp something,” he concluded his diatribe.
Many threats have been made by hosts on Russia 1 towards Ukraine’s western friends, with a particular focus on Britain and London.
One of the channel’s so-called ‘experts’ stated a year ago that Russia should blow a nuclear bomb off the coast of the United Kingdom, producing a nuclear wave.
