A kleptomaniac cat whose owner has brought her to a psychic in an effort to get to the bottom of the problem has stolen everything from sex toys to graveside teddy bears.
Demo, a local celebrity in Caldicot, Monmouthshire, has amassed a social media following and has become somewhat famous for her “bonkers” behavior.
Demo started thieving soon after he pulled through being struck by a vehicle a year ago.
Dog described as a “fire-breathing monster” that will “exploit any flaws” is returned to the shelter.
The feline thief’s habit started out harmlessly, with her coming home with gloves and other goods, but she eventually shocked her family by bringing back a sex toy.
Demo brought some anal beads home in September, but their owner has yet to claim them.
Owner Rachel Masterman said, “Demo is very proud [of her thefts] and screams at the door to let me know she’s back.”
“She’s a little nuts, but she always seems so delighted with her huge goofy grin.”
But, Demo’s frequent returns from a neighboring cemetery with a Tatty Teddy wearing a cap that said “special young guy” alarmed Rachel.
The dead boy’s mother was sympathetic to the situation and finally advised Demo to keep the toy until she could buy a replacement, but Demo soon started stealing it as well.
Rachel said, “The mother was really understanding.
“She instructed Demo to retain the teddy and take the second one she promised to place on the grave.
“She is a liability, but it has kept everyone amused.
People approach me on the street and inquire about her.
To attempt to understand Demo’s behavior, Rachel consulted a psychic, sending them pictures in advance of the reading.
It’s fairly evident from the hat, according to the psychic, that the teddy bear is linked to a little boy, Rachel said.
“She said that because I used to call the teddy bear my “favorite guy,” Jack [her dead dog] is urging Demo to bring it back so I would know he is alright,” I said.
Nine Tatty Teddies were provided by the lady and placed around the cemetery to attempt to discourage demo, but she has already left with at least seven of them.
